Jan Fox is a domestic violence attorney in the Lexington office of BRLS. Jan has been with Blue Ridge since 2016, when she moved to Lexington from her home state of Delaware. Prior to joining Blue Ridge, Jan was a Skadden Public Interest Fellow with the Community Legal Aid Society of Delaware providing legal representation to immigrant victims of domestic violence in custody, protective order, and immigration proceedings.
Jan graduated magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University School of Law, where she received the Virginia Bar Family Law Section Award; ALI CLE Scholarship & Leadership Award, published in the Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice, and was Co-President of the Women’s Law Student Organization. Jan received her Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from George Washington University, where she graduated summa cum laude.
In her role at Blue Ridge Legal Services, in addition to assisting survivors of domestic violence with protective order and other family law matters, Jan represents immigrant victims of domestic violence or other types of crime before federal immigration courts and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
